The Old Ones say, love is all anyone needs. Love doesn’t go away nor can love be divided. Once you commit an act of love, you’ll find it continues.
Love is like setting up dominos one behind the other. Once you hit the first domino, it will touch the second one which will touch the third one and so on. Every love act or love thought has an affect on each person as well as touching the whole world. If you live a life filled with love, the results will affect your friends, relatives and other people, even after you go to the other side. So… Love.

My Creator, let me love. Let me put into action the love dominos.

I know that love is the most powerful thing we do as humans. Its not science, art or war, its love. It has the power to lift us up and make us more than we are or were. To give us courage to go on when a sane person would quit and just die. Yes I do think a person in love is not sane, who would walk in the rain and not even notice but a person who has lost all senses.

We write books about love, make movies, tell our stories, best of all we love that feeling of being in love. For me holding hands while walking together, a sweet kiss that lives in my memories, the curve of her face, the way her hair catches the light, the sound of her voice, seeing her again just makes you fall more in love with this angel of your heart… sigh. .

Love can also be the most painful thing you will ever leave behind. I know that you take this love with you when you cross over to the other side. Its one of the few things we get to keep. Ever notice when you meet some one and you instantly feel one way or another about them. That is a past life partner, for good for ill, you recognize each others souls and act accordingly.

The soul mate, twin flame, ideas are about love so strong the word love alone can not describe the in tenseness of the love you feel. Being connected on a soul level or even beyond a soul level. Think about this, in love with a person from a past life time and this one too, having a deep memory of loving them. Combine that with loving them this lifetime and you have an even stronger connection. Just being in the room with them is powerful, they don’t even have to touch you and your happy happy.

The twin flame connection is so powerful it usually doesn’t last, though it can if you put effort into it. It can come at the wrong time in your life to handle its intensity, ride this out, its worth it! I feel its a taste of what our relationships are like on the other side. We get a taste of heaven from that relationship. When its over we mourn its loss like a death of a beloved family member. Would I pass up that experience, no way, would I do it again, oh if only I could, YES!

May the creator bless us with a love that comes at the right time, that fulfills our needs and exceeds our dreams. May it come in a good but powerful way.

How to Bless an Object or a Person in the Ancient Way.

Native Americans of 1000 years ago did not have cloth, string or flags in the tobacco blessing. We had Tobacco and white sage. What I will share with you in this free class is one of the most powerful tools in our spiritual tool belt. The tobacco offering combined with a blessing.

I will show you both ways, one with just the words, no mumbo jumbo, at all. Then the words with the tobacco offering. Most times you can see the tobacco fade from existence before it hits the ground, or some of it will fade out depending on the spirits moods.

The first time I did this ceremony I was in South Dakota and it was 124 in the shade. I found a nice place for three directions but could not find a good one for the south. Being very hot and grumpy I decided to just throw the tobacco in the southern direction. To my surprise and disbelief it faded from existence about chest height. I got on my hands and knees looking on the ground for the tobacco I had thrown. Spent 20 minutes looking for it and didn’t find it. That was the beginning of my connection to the ancient ways of doing spiritual things. Join me as I share what I have learned over the years. Its easy, its fun and you don’t have to suffer or become worthy, you already are.

Bring some tobacco, I use Native American Spirit as it has no additives. Any kind will do though. If you have some white sage and a bowl to catch the embers bring that too please.

It’s true- Mothers are a gift. Now your Mom might be the kind of gift like mine was- one you’d return if you got the chance… But did I learn from her? You bet. Some Mothers are truly “gifted”. Chérie Carter-Scott articulates what gifted Mothers know:

Wow. Well said. What makes a gifted Mother? A few examples float to mind.

A gifted Mother wakes from a deep sleep when her child is coughing; knows something is wrong before she gets the phone call; asks her child “Are you OK?” after her favorite vase has been broken.

A gifted Mother enjoys the highs and rides out the lows- carefully choosing when to be firm and when to give in. She knows how to “discipline” with a stern talk; understands when she’s out of patience; and tries to find laughter in any situation.

A gifted Mother quietly lets her child’s essence shine, embracing her child’s unique gifts without changing who she is. She reads her child’s storybook as though it were a fascinating novel (accents and voices included); and she knows it’s never too late to try something new.

Whether it’s an injured elbow or broken relationship, a gifted Mother always knows the right thing to say and takes the pain away whenever she can. She stands by her child even when the child has turned away, and she knows when it’s time to say “Enough already”.

Above all- a gifted Mother knows that each child needs to be Mothered differently.

How do you teach someone to be a gifted Mother? You teach them how to listen to what was said, but especially what was not said. This is something I teach Apprentices so they can hear what the client didn’t say (or wouldn’t say, but should have). Apprentices (and gifted Mothers) learn to listen to their inner voice, no matter what odd things it may have to tell them.

For practice, have a friend start a sentence in which you will finish. With kids it works to make it a game. Start with small impersonal stuff, like a thought about a movie or show. Your friend might say: “In the movie Horton Hears a Who, I liked the how Horton sets a good example of persistence, but I was frustrated that…”( the person will just think the next part). Then, listen to your inner voice and complete their sentence. Practice awhile unit you’ve received a comfortable amount of validations. Now, you’re ready to move on to your teenagers. You’ll know what they are not saying the next time they come home late! Even they will be impressed (well, maybe shocked might be a better word…).
You’ll be amazed at how quickly you will get it when you clear your mind of thoughts and just listen. Just like in sports, some people are instantly gifted and others get better with practice.

Same with Mothers. Some are naturally gifted, some take practice, and others choose not to try. The thing about it is there is no training manual. It’s like that old cliché- some people come to us for a reason or a season. I’ll add to that the “No Excuse Rule”. When we picked our Mother, it was because we knew she could provide the exact opportunities and experiences we needed for this lifetime. But only you can decide if she’s a Mother for a reason or a season. If you didn’t have a great Mother, find one. They’re everywhere.

Now it’s time for me to reinforce Carter-Scott’s advice: Remember to care for yourself. I’ve seen Moms struggle repeatedly with #8 and wind up needing serious intervention. Take good care of you. Your children are watching and listening, and they’re quick learners.

So, a blessing to all the gifted Mothers I know and the many Mothers who will read this:
May the Universe bless you with all that you need and everything you should ask for but don’t; with the ability to listen, take care of yourself, and know there is no such thing as a perfect Mother (just gifted ones); and may you rest in the beauty that as your child grows- so will you.”

Magic is in the Air (And Everywhere)

I love this time of year… Love is in the air. It’s own magic indeed. Valentine’s Day is a happy day for some. Those who are in love (or think they are) celebrate this day. Those of us that want to be in love or who’ve just come out of a relationship maybe wish we were (in love) and feel just a little left out. It’s an event alright- just ask the retailers. We have special candy, cards, flowers and other trinkets or gifts just for this one day- all in the name of showing someone we care (in a commercial kind of way).
I met a wonderful person two months ago. This“Kabala Kutie” wanted my help changing the way men viewed her. Despite her natural sweetness, no one asked her to dance at her dance class. Even worse, no one asked her out. Every now and then I see a situation where logic and reason just don’t make sense… OK, way more than every now and then. This young lady is very cute and visually appealing in a sweet sort of way- in my expert opinion, of course. Still, I gave her a blessing to have many dance partners and advised her to make a list (and check it more than twice) for what she wanted in a lover/partner- keeping in mind that she should raise the bar on her relationships. Actually, let me be perfectly honest here. I told her she should “shoot for the stars and if we only hit the mountain tops we are still a long way from the subterranean area she found her last partner.” We set a time limit on that for 5 months.
Much to my surprise and delight, she contacted me two months later to say that the blessing I gave her is working amazingly well! She got dance partners right away and five weeks later met a man that makes her life so happy that “…It’s like that song on your phone (Everything by Michael Buble)! I wanted someone to love me like that and he does!” Then again, one of my pals called me up and asked why I have that “co-dependent” ringback on my phone… Guess she was having a bad relationship day. Isn’t that one of the signs of the apocalypse? The seas will boil and the sky shall be as black as sack cloth (and thou shall have a bad relationship day)! So, fine. It does feel like the end of the world when a relationship goes bad.
Back to Kutie. Since that was going so well, I had to wonder what she needed to see me about now. Ah yes- she was having feelings that this was too good to be true and that they might not deserve each other (i.e., it might not last). She had been in a relationship that did not meet her needs and now that she found herself in a relationship that did it was a bit too good. Don’t we all wish we could have that sort of a problem? My answer: Another blessing to feel worthy and have the spirits that love them help them make good decisions that allow them to be together in a good way. It’s good to be Shaman.
So magic isn’t limited to Love Potion #9 or my own brand of what I call being a “good asker…” Those darn Fairies are at it again. I’ve been seeing so many more of them lately that I wonder at my own darn self… While I walk my Dis Dog, they flash, glow, and sometimes sparkle at us. Been that way since about December 15th or so… Suppose it’s a big energy build up for this coming year.
I got validation that it’s not just me though- my pal and colleague Terri Clement, a gifted tarot reader, has also noticed an increase in Fairy Energy. Now usually Terri doesn’t see Fairies in the classic “Disney” kind of way, but she recently had an encounter with a new Fairy. Seems she picked up this Tinkerbelle-like Fairy at her sister’s house in December and when Terri noticed someone touching her eyelashes, she decided to ask the Fairy her name. Voila- Kaeleen. Perhaps it’s the blessing I gave her a few months ago to see them and talk to them more clearly… Or maybe it’s just her natural talent coming through with a new boost. Stranger things have happened. Still, Kaleen proceeded to share some advice with Terri for folks who have bad dreams, saying “If you’re having bad dreams then point your shoes away from the bed so the Fairies aren’t confused.” Seems Kaeleen was also very happy to see that more people are interested in the Fairy realm these days… Could there be a Love-Fairy connection going on here? Is that why the energy has been building all these months? Last year saw the end of many relationships. Divorce ran rampant all year long. Or could that all be happening because so many people settled in love long ago, only to wake-up last year and realize they deserved so much more they should just get it over with? I’m laying my bets on the Fairy Realm winning over this year.
Why then, I wonder, would anyone settle for less than what they want and deserve? This problem is epic (no poetic pun intended). A friend of mine was recently reading Eat Pray Love where Elizabeth Gilbert explained it this way, “I have fallen in love more times than I care to count with the highest potential of a man, rather than with the man himself, and then I have hung on to the relationship for a long time (sometimes far too long) waiting for the man to ascend to his own greatness. Many times in romance I have been a victim of my own optimism.” That’s what I call settling. Watch out for that- especially this month when some are so desperate to be in love. Me? I want the song. I want everything. Someone who’s my spiritual and intellectual equal, a good communicator that can listen well too, beautiful and sweet-natured, even-tempered with good humor (like mine, of course), a talented and committed professional, and a great parent who can also be my lover and best friend- the ultimate partner in all things big and small. Sounds impossible? Not so much.
And I guarantee there is match for the kind of love you want out there just waiting for you find them. It’s not as hard as you may think when you’re clear about what you want. Now I do have some experience with this, so when I say you can have it all… I mean it. Here’s how you ask:
• Step one: Define what you want in your life partner or lover.
• Step two: Ask. Ask for them to come in a good and gentle way and ask the spirits to give you what you need (and should have asked for but didn’t) and set a time limit for this to happen.
• Step three: Forget about it. Put a note on the calendar so you check-in with yourself next month and let things move along as they should. Sometimes the spirits will just attract the right person to you. It’s not something you have to work for to earn or a blessing you have to ask for- It’s a gift.
I love getting a gift from the universe! Some of us have had that one relationship that is the measure for all others… Be it a fairytale dream or an actual faulty memory, doesn’t matter. It’s still the measure we use and we have the ability to power what we want with our free will and intent. Who was it that said- If we think it’s impossible, it is. And whether we think we can or not- we’re right… I’d add that if we don’t think we deserve any better, we’re right again.
Guess I’ve gone and “outed” myself. Who would’ve thought it an old curmudgeon like me is a romantic? Might as well spill all the beans while I’m at it. Call it romanticism, occupational hazard, or perk… but I believe being a non-traditional Shaman gives me the license to tell folks I love them any day of the year. And (hold your breath on this one…) It’s OK. Add to that- I think flowers are for any time, just because you’re special. And yes it’s true, I give loved ones “I’m happy to see you” presents even if it’s not their birthday or a holiday. I guess I believe in spreading magic.

Letting Go

Getting out of the way.

Sounds easy some times to just let things happen as they should and yet we want to get involved and help things along. I find that I do that, getting in my own way seems second nature. Relationships, healing and life, all those things I can get in the way of just letting happen on their own. Every now and then though, I can just let the ego go and let things happen as they can. That is when miracles happen.
A dear friend of mine told me, “Just bless the situation for the best outcome for everyone and let it be.” Good advice. Having a warrior spirit when one of my friends is wronged I get out my spiritual war gear and get ready to kick some spiritual behind. Unfortunately that is not the message the Angels have given me this year. That message being, Choose love in every thing. Talk about not easy, when you want to kick some spiritual behind instead. I have been doing my best to choose love, even in those difficult moments. When I can choose to respond with kindness (love) or respond in a negative way, I choose love.
My apprentices have noticed this difference, they see it as a sign of weakness, I say it’s a sign of power. To choose love is powerful, and good for everyone. There are times when being a warrior is the only choice when you’re faced with people who won’t see reason or respond to kindness. Yeah baby, just let me get my lightning bolts ready and I am on it. Though of late its not what I have to do to get the job done. My lessons are of love and choosing kindness. The warrior path is still mine but tempered now with my choice of choosing love.
The folks that listen to my blog talk radio show have said, Walks With Thunder seems softer now, more approachable and not kicking butts off the planet so much. True I don’t do so much of that spiritually anymore. The Angels have changed some of my responses to help me with that, my physical desires have decreased, my temper has become smaller and short lived. My patience has increased, and some say that is all for the better. My warrior spirit isn’t so sure, not yet.
It’s a time of self discovery for me. Finding what has changed about who I am and how I react to situations now is wonderful…. Most of the time. For a while there my mind and spirit were going north and south. My usually confident self was confused and it was difficult to make a decisions. My work didn’t suffer though my schedule did. Found myself in a new place, the land of wembleing (indecision). Having let go my feelings and personal interest, stepping back from my life. I found decisions easy once more. Looking at my own life as though it were some one else, put everything into perspective.
Having done that I moved, have been working on my schedule more. My apprentices say that Walks With Thunder is back! Cutting away that which does not serve you, looking at your life from a strangers view point, all good for you. Make the decisions that make sense in your life and let go of the judgements, the I should’s, and clarity will soon be yours.

Spiritual housekeeping, Grounding clearing negative energy

The life I lead can be magical to some. While I do some mundane things, answering email, interpreting dreams for apprentices, it can also be very enchanted. Yes you could say I am enchanted by my life. Why is that you may wonder, me too! In the process of responding to dream walking emails I saw to my left a sparkle of gold and silver. They bobbed around in the air, like they were dancing with each other. As they moved closer I documented the movement by typing it into my email. ”While I write this there are fairy lights around my fingers and on my lap top screen, gotta love that. They are golden white tiny orbs that sparkle. Just a bit of magic before I go to bed. “ As I watched this dance, they came closer to my keyboard, hopped on it and danced across my fingers and off the right side of my laptop. About three weeks later while walking my Dissy Dog in the back yard I saw what looked like a white moth, or was it a large butterfly… I walked closer to investigate. Following this wedding dress white winged and slightly glowing bug was fun. I caught up to it in the garden by the radishes when it suddenly winked out of sight as I watched from 2 feet away. Fairies, have such a strange sense of humor. So what makes my life different than yours, hmm maybe its just what I cal spiritual housekeeping. Even now as I write this article the fairies are here in front of the screen watching me. Here are some of the things I do to keep my environment spiritually happy.
Everyone now and then needs to be grounded, folks that channel spiritual energy, those who receive it, and those of us that live in it every day. I have found many ways to do this and wanted to share some of my favorites.
My pal Terri C told me this one, I have to laugh as she likes to use mud puddles and bare feet. The process is easy. Find or make a mud puddle. Take off your shoes and put your feet in the mud. Wiggle your toes and see the energy from the earth traveling up from the ground into your body and out the top of your head. I think that’s funny as we have so much rain in Washing ton State, usually its cold rain too. Putting my feet in to a cold mud puddle, not my first choice. Summer time I am that could be fun, we usually get 165 days of rain here so lots of opportunity for grounding. My way is just to take off your shoes and feel the ground/floor beneath your feet. Much the same as Terri C’s only with out the water and mud.
Still others like to envision themselves standing on the earth. Seeing the earth energy flowing through them, shoes on, to be grounded. That’s nice too. Then again there is the reverse of that with Energy from the sky coming down through you into your feet and then into the ground. What ever works for your personal symbology is good.
I also like to ask for what I want. I call all the nations that love me and ask them to ground my energy and clear my home of negative energy in a good, fast middle world way. I thank the nations that love me. Easy, love that!
Clearing Negative Energy.
One of the few traditional things I do is to smudge. I like to use white Sage for this. You can use a bowl to catch the embers of the smoldering sage. Ancient Native Americans used an abalone shell for this, they were traded all across the Americas. Fan the smoke with your hand into the cupboards, under the sink, into drawers, closets, the freezer, oven, don’t forget the corners. I know some folks use a feather fan but I like my hands as no birds had to give up their wings. Not everyone gets along with smoke so you can also make a tea from the white sage leaves. Boil water, put three for four sage leaves in the water, steep till you get a light green tea. Let this cool. Put the tea into a plant mister and mist the areas you would have fanned the smoke into. Works the same way as the smudge. I also like to have some Kosher Salt on hand to sprinkle outside my home. Kosher Salt is prepared in a sacred way to the Jewish people, its not supposed to be blessed, though I believe it is, as the Rabbi blesses the food in the warehouse and the salt is in there when they do that. Remember your will and intent when you do this, your will is set to clear negative energy, your intent is a clean spiritual environment. What if the salt gets wet? Good then it dissolves in the water and makes the ground around your house saturated with blessed salt, even better!

Global Warming, Mayan Calendar, and other stuff that bugs me.

Just wanted to clear the air a bit more. Yes I know all important issues, these topics are popular and everyone has an opinion, In that spirit here is mine.

I was watching Al in his movie about Global Warming. Is this the same man who says he created the internet? Oh my gosh, yes, it really hurts my brain to agree with this fellow, and yet I do. Even here and in public, on the record, I agree with a yahoo from the government.

Water, important building block of life, could it be possible to have too much? The polar caps are melting, Greenland Glaciers are melting, there are islands that are “sinking” because the level of the ocean has risen. We have more volcanic activity and those darn things are getting more active all the time. Is there a connection… I think there is. If the reports I hear are true, we lost 214 miles of coastline in the US last year, because the water level has risen. I bet that weighs a lot too, Here n the Pacific Northwest we have the Ring of Fire. The Pacific Ocean rests on this tectonic plate. All that extra water that has melted rests on this plate. So here we have more volcanic activity around the world and our little slice as well. I wonder is there a connection.

All that water rising, so more surface water and probably a difference in salinity as well. Could that effect the evaporation rate, you know that little old thing that powers the weather. Anyone notice the tornado in New York City in September? How about those category 5 hurricanes? We had so much snow last year in the Seattle area, and talk about wind storms. Some places were out of power for eight days. Yes, that bothers me.

The Mayan Calendar, No more dates past 2012. Did you know that when the Spanish Conquistadores came to the Americas they decimated 90% of the Native population. Probable cause Disease, STD’s and guns, imagine 90% of our current population gone. Guess we wouldn’t come out with next years calendar either. Now I know there are some of you out there with end of the world ideas about this. Sorry folks happened already to those Mayan calendar makers 600 years ago. There you go all those fancy theories about the end of the world in 2012. Could be we need to not give that so much energy and start thinking of where to go from here. Then again there is that water level rising.

Greetings!

Welcome to the Create Your Life Weekend. This weekend promises to teach you tools to assist you to open up to your natural intuitive and healing abilities. We have 8 fabulous teachers scheduled to teach 8 classes during this empowering life changing event.

Friday Evening Event

Meet the Teachers

7pm – 9pm

**Doors open at 6:45pm for the public**

Embassy Suites Rainier Room

The Create Your Life Weekend event kicks off with a free evening that allows you to meet the teachers, and hear what classes they will be teaching during the Create Your Life event. This event is open to the public. The event begins sharply at 7pm. Each teacher will provide their background, what you will be learning during their class, and will do a spot read or healing from the audience members. Not all audience members are guaranteed a reading. However, if you find a reader or teacher you are drawn to, you may sign up individually to work with them at a later date.

Those who are in the audience, and have not signed up for the Create Your Life weekend will have a chance to do so after the Meet the Teachers event is over. Checks, money orders, Credit Cards, and of course cash is happily received in the amount of $88 to guarantee your spot for the weekend.

Please note per the hotel’s request no outside food or beverage can be brought into the conference room. Thank you for your understanding. For your convenience there will be a water station at the back of the room.

She’s even going to have each student work directly with their own faerie. How fun!

Healing with Energy II with Nontraditional Shaman Walks With Thunder

As the drums start to beat you will notice you are now in Walks With Thunder’s world. Join him for this empowering healing class as he teaches you techniques for remote healing, soft tissue resurfacing, and how to work with resistant clients. Students will also get to experience the Rose Quartz Blessing, and see if their stone turns white. Walks With Thunder will teach how to handle negative intrusions, and also take you on a Middle World Journey

Want to learn how to go into trance, and read energy intuitively? During this exciting and energetic class Shannon will teach spiritual tools of how to go into trance and read auras and past lives. Each student will receive one small crystal to work with in this hands on workshop

Learn how simple knowledge of your astrological moon can make all the difference as you chart your course through life.

Join spiritual teacher Karen Anderson as she teaches you powerful spiritual tools to assist you in accessing your own Divine God-source.

Panel of Experts

Join us at the end of the event as all 8 teachers are on stage. This is the time to ask questions that may have come up during the Create Your Life Weekend event.

Helpful Reminders and Notes for the Event:

Please remember no outside food or drink is allowed in the conference room per the hotels request. A water station will be available in the back of the room.
The Embassy Suites has a restaurant located inside the lobby for your convenience.
Please remember to dress comfortably with shoes you can easily play in. THINK CASUAL! If you get easily cold, please bring a jacket as the air conditioning will be turned on.
Bring a notebook and pen to take notes if you would like.
For the safety of others who are sensitive to perfumes and strong scents please try to avoid wearing heavily scented lotions or perfumes. Thank you.
Teachers will have sign ups at the back of the table in which you can sign up for their newsletter, readings, or find products they have for sale. Please note that most teacher just accept cash for the products.
If there is a class you wish not to attend, please note you can leave for that duration of time, and come back at the next scheduled class.
DVDS and audios of the event will be available for sale. If you are interested in purchasing this, please sign up with the appropriate teacher you are interested in purchasing this from. *No outside video is allowed.
