The Old Ones say, love is all anyone needs. Love doesn’t go away nor can
love be divided. Once you commit an act of love, you’ll find it continues.
Love is like setting up dominos one behind the other. Once you hit the first
domino, it will touch the second one which will touch the third one and so
on. Every love act or love thought has an affect on each person as well as
touching the whole world. If you live a life filled with love, the results
will affect your friends, relatives and other people, even after you go to
the other side. So… Love.

My Creator, let me love. Let me put into action the love dominos.

I know that love is the most powerful thing we do as humans. Its not science, art or war, its love. It has the power to lift us up and make us more than we are or were. To give us courage to go on when a sane person would quit and just die. Yes I do think a person in love is not sane, who would walk in the rain and not even notice but a person who has lost all senses.

We write books about love, make movies, tell our stories, best of all we love that feeling of being in love. For me holding hands while walking together, a sweet kiss that lives in my memories, the curve of her face, the way her hair catches the light, the sound of her voice, seeing her again just makes you fall more in love with this angel of your heart… sigh. .

Love can also be the most painful thing you will ever leave behind. I know that you take this love with you when you cross over to the other side. Its one of the few things we get to keep. Ever notice when you meet some one and you instantly feel one way or another about them. That is a past life partner, for good for ill, you recognize each others souls and act accordingly.

The soul mate, twin flame, ideas are about love so strong the word love alone can not describe the in tenseness of the love you feel. Being connected on a soul level or even beyond a soul level. Think about this, in love with a person from a past life time and this one too, having a deep memory of loving them. Combine that with loving them this lifetime and you have an even stronger connection. Just being in the room with them is powerful, they don’t even have to touch you and your happy happy.

The twin flame connection is so powerful it usually doesn’t last, though it can if you put effort into it. It can come at the wrong time in your life to handle its intensity, ride this out, its worth it! I feel its a taste of what our relationships are like on the other side. We get a taste of heaven from that relationship. When its over we mourn its loss like a death of a beloved family member. Would I pass up that experience, no way, would I do it again, oh if only I could, YES!

May the creator bless us with a love that comes at the right time, that fulfills our needs and exceeds our dreams. May it come in a good but powerful way.

My blessing to see fairies - Jul 28,2008

My blessing to see Fairies in a good way.

Some Medicine men and women call Fairy folk, the little people. No matter what we call them, Natures Angles are real and in our world. Why not embrace the magic of the Fey? This morning I saw a Blue Fairy light under my bed, glowing softly in the morning light. This evening I found an light Orange one on my knee. LOL Just so you know I have never taken any hallucinogenic drugs or herbs etc. I am so pure I could have been a Mormon. Why then would a former Network Engineer see these magical beings? Well it could be that I am also a shaman and have the gift of sight. It could be that Fairies love me because I love deeply. Perhaps I am a happy, fun person most of the time.

Fairies love to be near people who are in Love. They enjoy music, and love sweets, if you put out sweets you have to make sure they are tiny bits of sweets. I think I have a fairy cake directions , hmm where did I put that? Our little pals also enjoy sparkles and shiny decorations. Some folks I know make Fairy Houses in the garden or deck areas. Sweet liquors are also a favorite, placed in a doll?s cup or glass and set out side. Make sure you have flowers that Humming Birds love as the Fey love those too.

I have a friend who likes to decorate her home with holiday lights. She turns them off and goes to work only to come home and find the on. I love that.

Are you sure you want to see fairies? They have a strange idea about what is funny, not like ours at all. They some times hide your keys or your wallet. Not funny. As you go about the home looking for your lost item only to find it on the counter or table you already checked. Innocently, almost mockingly laying there for you to find. Not funny.

Ok then if you are sure. I call grandfather and grandmother spirits of the Fairy Nation, I call all the spirits that love us. I ask them to give you the sight to see Fairies in a good way, I ask that you be given the ability to communicate in a clear, happy way with the Fairy. May that all happen for you in a good and gentle way, however a immediate right now kind of way too. I thank the nations gathered.

Fried Honey cakes
From Wisteria’s Fairy Recipes

These cakes are not unlike those made on the night before Beltane by women around the turn of the century. These cakes were left in the garden to please Fairy visitors.

1/2 cup sweet white wine
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 cup honey
2/3 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Oil for frying
1/8 teaspoon salt
Beat the wine & egg in a medium bowl. Combine the flour, cinnamon, salt & sugar in a small bowl. Stir into the egg mixture. Let stand 30 minutes. Combine the honey & nutmeg in a small bowl. Heat 1/2-inch of the oil in a frying pan until hot, but not smoking. Drop the batter into the oil 1 tablespoon at a time; fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Dip into the honey.
Yield: 1 1/2 Dozen.
Can also be eaten on Lammas and the Day of the Dryads.

Spiritual House Keeping - Jul 11,2008

Spiritual Housekeeping

The life I lead can be magical to some. While I do some routine chores (like answering email, paying bills, folding laundry?), the “spiritual housecleaning” parts of my life may seem more enchanted to some- interpreting dreams, clearing negative energy, shielding, grounding… Yes, you could say I am enchanted by my life.

In the process of responding to apprentice’s dream-walking “homework,” I saw to my left bobbing and dancing sparkles of gold and silver. As they moved closer, I documented the movement by typing it into my email: “While I write this, there are fairy lights around my fingers and on my laptop screen- Gotta love that. They are golden white tiny orbs that sparkle. Just a bit of magic before I go to bed.” As I watched this dance, they came closer to my keyboard, hopped on it and danced across my fingers and off the right side of my laptop. About three weeks later while walking my Dissy Dog in the backyard, I saw what looked like a white moth (or was it a large butterfly?). I walked closer to investigate. Following this wedding dress white-winged and slightly glowing bug was fun. I caught up to it in the garden by the radishes when it suddenly winked out of sight as I watched, unblinking from about 2 feet away. Fairies, have such a strange sense of humor.

So what open my life to be different than yours? Even now as I write this article the fairies are here in front of the screen watching me! Hmmm? Maybe it’s just what I call spiritual housekeeping. Now and then everyone needs to do a little “cleaning” (so to speak)- especially folks that channel spiritual energy, those who receive it, or even those of us who just live in it every day. I have found many ways to keep my environment spiritually happy (and welcoming to blessings like Angels and Fairies). Some of my favorites are grounding and clearing, which each have as many possibilities to try as there are people to try them! Here are a few?

For grounding (I chuckled out loud at this one), but my good pal likes to use mud puddles and bare feet. The process is easy. Find or make a mud puddle. Take off your shoes and put your feet in the mud. Wiggle your toes and see the energy from the earth traveling up from the ground into your body and out the top of your head. I think that’s funny as we have so much rain in Washington State (usually its cold rain too). Putting my feet into a cold mud puddle is not my first choice, but hey! My way is just to take off your shoes and feel the ground/floor beneath your feet.

Another “grounding” technique is to envision yourself standing on the earth. Seeing the earth energy flowing through you (shoes on) to be grounded. That’s nice too. Then again there is the reverse of that with Energy from the sky coming down through you into your feet and then into the ground. What ever works for your personal symbology is good. For me, I also like to ask for what I want. I call all the nations that love me and ask them to ground my energy and clear my home of negative energy in a good, fast but gentle middle world way. I thank the nations that love me. Done. Easy. Love that!

To clear Negative Energy is just about as simple. In fact, one of the few traditional things I do is to smudge. I like to use white Sage for this. You simply light the Sage and let it smolder- using a bowl to catch the embers. Ancient Native Americans used an abalone shell for this, they were traded all across the Americas. Best approach is to fan the smoke with your hand into the cupboards, under the sink, into drawers, closets, the freezer, oven? Don’t forget the corners! I know some folks use a feather fan but I like my hands as no birds had to give up their wings.

And yet, not everyone gets along with smoke so you can also make a tea from the white sage leaves. Boil water, put three for four sage leaves in the water, steep till you get a light green tea. Let this cool. Put the tea into a plant mister and mist the areas you would have fanned the smoke into. Works the same way as the smudge. I also like to have some Kosher Salt on hand to sprinkle outside my home. Kosher Salt is prepared in a sacred way to the Jewish people and while it’s not said to be blessed, I believe it is as the Rabbi blesses the food in the warehouse and the salt is in there when they do that. What if the salt gets wet? Good then it dissolves in the water and makes the ground around your house saturated with blessed salt, even better!

Above all, whichever grounding or clearing technique you choose? Remember your will and intent when you do this. Your will is set to clear negative energy, your intent is a clean spiritual environment. So, will you have to “clean” again? You bet. I haven’t seen a house yet that does well with a once a year “Spring” cleaning and nothing else. This is a maintenance routine, so keep it simple, follow your own symbology, and create a routine that serves you well.

Choose Love - Oct 20,2008

Some say a new year is a new beginning. I know that on my spiritual path there are many beginnings and endings that have nothing to do with the calendar. A couple years ago in January (my personal power month), I began seeing Fairies. Last January, I began seeing Angels and Michael himself gave me messages. This year? who knows what January will bring! As with each of you, I am a work in progress. I love that! My path always has something new? and that means I am still learning all the time.

From that first meeting with the Fairies, my life changed. Wonderful people came into my life- the ?once in a lifetime? kind and each of them touched my soul. They came quickly and together we made great memories. And while most of these folks left just as quickly as they came, by January 2008 only one was still there? and the Angels came along too.

Somehow in all of this, my relationship with the Angels began with a 20-foot tall Angel with a sword. While I later learned this was Michael, my first impression was of knowing his thoughts without speech- I know your going through a bad time, its going to be alright. Specifically, he wanted me to know ?Have faith, I am with you.? Simple. Later, he and other Angels visited and repeated the message with the swish of wings- ?Have faith, I am behind you.? Or a feeling of warmth- ?Have faith, we are all around you.? And the all time Angel favorite- ?Choose love.? That?s new to this Warrior Spirit I am and they?ve had to repeat it a lot. I do have faith that it?s all going to be all right, yet there are times I have forgotten to choose love when someone I care about is hurting…

And while that one friend I mentioned is still there, it?s not so much as before. For months now I have chosen to be grumpy about this- not to love. Grumpy hasn?t served me in too many ways other than the weather. Here in Seattle, the weather sometimes mirrors my moods. In fact, we had a few extra thunderstorms this last summer? As a part of the Thunder Nation, I love the lightning- but I had no idea it came in so many colors like the fairies! In fact, I sat in the back yard once and just watched the show. Sometimes during these storms, Thunder Nation would have a message for me to ponder. Other times, a Fairy would be about- making mischief. I even met a grumpy Fairy- it?s orange and likes to sit on my lap and be grumpy with me? And here?s my point: I attracted that grumpy fairy. And the storms. What are you attracting?

I now choose Love. I called my friend to share this news- hadn?t even realized it myself, but those Angels are a persistent bunch. These days you find me traveling away from my beloved Seattle (and thunderstorms). You can find me in LA, San Francisco, Sedona, and soon many more places. Spirit (and quite possibly that extra large Angel with a sword) has ways of making you feel small when you don?t follow simple suggestions. It has a way of molding a person to be who they need to be and it?s been my experience they don?t ask permission- but I choose what to bring along… Yes, the Angels changed who I am. I don?t react to situations the same way I used to- I most often choose Love. And I?m working on that so I can choose Love all the time…

Am I telling you to choose Love even when your life seems the darkest and your friends all seem far away? Yes, choose Love. Invite Love along for those rides when Spirit has a way of taking you along without your consent, you still get to do the packing? Choose Love- even if it?s just a favorite smell, a quiet moment, a cute picture of your dog, or a quick phone call to a friend. Don?t live in your memories, move forward with your life and trust that it?s all going to be alright anyways. I?ve learned that being grumpy doesn?t serve you or anyone else- it?s a waste of Spirit to stay there so just pass through instead of setting up camp! A good friend of mine says that you should be like a feather in the wind, let it take you to happiness. So for me: I?m just going to settle into Brother Wind and let him take me. I?ll smile more often and laugh all year long? I choose Love.

May the wind in your life be gentle and strong so it can take you where you should be. May your friends and your love be true. May you know how happy you are now so you fully enjoy those rare, blessed moments.
